This week I was given the chance to review CAMPBELL'S SKILLET SAUCES. A new line that Campbell's is introducing. These sauces are designed for people who want flavorful weeknight meals, with some amazing flavors, but also in a form that makes a meal quick and easy to make. There are 6 different flavors available:
Marsala with Mushrooms & garlic
Scampi with White Wine & Garlic
Toasted Sesame with Garlic & Ginger
Fire Roasted Tomatoes with Red Bell Peppers & Chiles
Creamy Chipotle with Roasted Corn & Black Beans
Thai Green Curry with Lemongrass & Basil
My mouth starts to water just reading that list. I chose to use the TOASTED SESAME WITH GARLIC & GINGER for my meal. The directions are simple to read and easy to execute. You simply heat a TBL of oil in a skillet over med/high heat, add your protein or vegetables (I chose chicken & broccoli). Cook until browned. Stir in the sauce, bring to a boil, then cover & let simmer for 5 minutes.
It is THAT simple.
You can see how yummy it looks while it is cooking.
I served this over rice and it was a wonderful, flavorful lunch. Something much better that leftovers, or a PBJ sandwich! I loved how quick and easy it was to fix, and the exotic flavor it had.
